Why you need to date yourself

and all the benefits of it
i've always been the person to do things on my own, i'm very independent and love being alone. don't get me wrong- being with people and friends and everything is great, but i really like being alone. but now that i actually "date myself" i have been so much happier.
plus, if you know exactly what you like, then you can more easily express that to the next person you want to date or be with. -- so below i wrote a ton of reasons why dating yourself is the best. AND a whole list of date ideas. which could also be used as could date ideas if you have an s/o.
START TO LOVE YOURSELF; DATE YOURSELF.
treat simple tasks as dates. like .. going to the grocery store, or watching a movie at home, or going out. any of it.
~ WHY DATING YOURSELF IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST ~
your mental health
taking up yoga, or mediation, or drawing, or just learning how to figure out what you need during one of your episodes. it will later help if you get close with someone to then explain what you need to be done when things happen. along with things that dont help at all.
you dont have to compromise
anything. don't have to compromsie what you want to watch, or what you want to do. your dreams, don't
you can find your passions
what you love. what you dont love. all the things you enjoy. or try new things that you havent before that you'll enjoy now?
becoming stronger as your own person
knowing what you want and deserve and standing up for it. not letting things get in the way. being in complete control of your own life.
DATE IDEAS:
have a beer and sit on the patio.
watch the sunset, put down your phone, read a book.
go to the concert alone, go up to the front - or stay in the back, either way, you will enjoy it.
it is honestly one of the best choices i've made, i met some amazing people and i had the best time of my life.
take yourself to the mall, just get a coffee or smoothie and walk around.
pick the stuff you want
make yourself dinner and have a glass of wine.
light a candle, put your phone down for a little, and be at peace with yourself.
get your favorite ice cream, sit on the couch in sweats, and watch the sappy movie.
have a good cry if you need it, eat the whole tub if you want too, kick back, after-all it is just you.
go get a mani-pedi
turn on your favorite music, lay back, and relax.
order a pizza and watch stand-up comedy.
laugh it out, literally laugh out loud, be comfortable in your own skin, love yourself and your laugh.
take an Epsom salt bath
turn on some relaxing music, and read a book.
go out to brunch
bring your favorite book, or lap top and read something insightful.
